Behind Cebola Filmes
Pedro Henrique Chaves is a Brazilian filmmaker. His short ‘Foguete’ won Best Film at FACIUNI and screened at NewFilmmakers LA (in partnership with the Academy), New York Latino Film Festival, and Tiradentes Film Festival. A graduate in Audiovisual Studies from the University of Brasilia, Pedro creates character-driven stories with emotional depth. He is the founder of the independent production company Cebola Filmes and directed a documentary in Thailand that was selected for the Thailand Short Film Competition.
Pedro is also an assistant director and has contributed to projects such as the global CHANEL Next Prize campaign and has collaborated with prominent Brazilian filmmakers, including Laís Bodanzky and José Eduardo Belmonte.
Pedro is working on a new short film and developing his first feature film project.
